We’re Hiring | Chief Accountant
We are hiring for our multinational client operating in the Cosmetics, Fragrances & Perfumes retail industry. We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial operations.

Key Responsibilities – Chief Accountant
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Supervise month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, and company financial policies.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits by providing accurate financial records and documentation.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports, while monitoring financial performance against targets.
- Analyze financial data, identify variances, and provide recommendations to improve profitability and cost efficiency.
- Strengthen internal controls and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory valuation, cost control, and retail financial transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Mentor, supervise, and develop the accounting team, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with ERP procedures and maintain accurate financial data within the accounting system.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7–10 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years as a Chief Accountant or Senior Accountant.
- Previous experience in the Cosmetics, Fragrances, Perfumes, or Retail industry is a must.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, taxation, budgeting, cost control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Residents of Nasr City or Heliopolis are highly preferred.
