About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for product costing, production cost analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance reporting while supporting efficient factory operations through accurate cost control and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BOMs), production routings, and resource costs within the ERP system.
Calculate and monitor product standard costs and ensure costing accuracy.
Cost production orders and analyze standard versus actual production variances.
Process Issue for Production and Receipt from Production transactions.
Apply landed costs to imported materials and perform inventory revaluation when required.
Monitor and analyze manufacturing scrap, waste, and production yield.
Prepare monthly manufacturing cost reports and variance analysis.
Reconcile inventory movements and manufacturing transactions.
Support month-end closing activities related to production costing and inventory.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of inventory valuation and manufacturing costs.
Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Planning teams to improve cost efficiency.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and manufacturing cost planning.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies and internal controls.
Systems & ERP Experience
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4โ7 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in the Cosmetics, Fragrances, FMCG, Personal Care, Pharmaceutical, or Manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of manufacturing costing, inventory accounting, and production processes.
Hands-on experience with SAP Business One is mandatory.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multinational manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
Expertise in standard costing and manufacturing variance analysis.
Strong knowledge of inventory valuation methods and landed cost allocation.
Experience with production planning and manufacturing finance.
Excellent attention to detail and reporting accuracy.
Ability to partner with cross-functional teams to improve operational and financial performance.
