Inventory Control Accountant

We are hiring for our multinational client operating in the Cosmetics, Fragrances & Perfumes retail industry. We are looking for an experienced Inventory Control Accountant to manage inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, and inventory controls across retail operations.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records across warehouses, distribution centers, and retail stores.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reconciliations between physical stock and ERP records.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Analyze inventory movements, stock adjustments, transfers, returns, and write-offs, ensuring proper accounting treatment.
• Coordinate and participate in periodic and annual physical stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Reconcile inventory-related general ledger accounts and prepare supporting schedules for month-end and year-end closing.
• Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and damaged inventory, and provide recommendations for provisioning and inventory optimization.
• Collaborate with Warehouse, Supply Chain, Procurement, Retail Operations, and Finance teams to ensure inventory accuracy and effective stock control.
• Prepare inventory reports, stock variance analyses, and inventory performance KPIs for management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements related to inventory management.
• Maintain accurate inventory data within the ERP system and support system enhancements and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+years of Inventory Accounting experience.
• Previous experience in Retail, Cosmetics, Fragrances, Perfumes, or FMCG is a must.
• Good command of English.
• Strong knowledge of inventory valuation, stock counts, reconciliations, and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Residents of Nasr City or Heliopolis are highly preferred.
