Industry: Cosmetics, Fragrances & Perfumes retail

We are hiring for our multinational client operating in the Cosmetics, Fragrances & Perfumes retail industry. We are seeking an Area Cash & Collection Accountant to manage cash collections and customer account reconciliations across assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities – Area Cash & Collection Accountant

• Manage daily cash collections across assigned retail stores and ensure timely deposit of funds.
• Record and reconcile cash receipts, bank deposits, POS transactions, and other collection channels.
• Reconcile customer accounts and allocate payments accurately against outstanding invoices.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied receipts, and customer account issues.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of cash collections, bank accounts, and customer ledgers.
• Coordinate with store managers, Sales, Finance, and Treasury teams to ensure accurate cash handling and reporting.
• Prepare collection reports, aging analysis, and cash reconciliation reports for management review.
• Ensure compliance with company cash handling procedures, financial controls, and accounting policies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring all cash and collection transactions are accurately recorded.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all cash collection and reconciliation activities.
• Utilize ERP systems to record transactions, generate reports, and maintain accurate financial data.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance collection efficiency, reduce discrepancies, and strengthen internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits by providing the required documentation related to cash collections and reconciliations.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Previous Retail experience is highly preferred.
• Good command of English.
• Strong reconciliation and customer account management skills.
• ERP experience is preferred.
• Residents of Nasr City or Heliopolis are highly preferred.
